These are great fun and very easy to make – it is wonderful to see them puffing up in the oven
Ingredients
- 2tsp yeast
- 300ml warm water
- 500g strong white flour
- 2tsp salt
- 1tbsp olive oil
Method
- Mix the yeast and warm water
- Add the flour, salt and oil to the yeast mix.
- Let it sit for 5 minutes
- Lightly flour the worktop and knead 5-10 minutes
- Place in oiled bowl, cover and leave to double in size
- Place baking tray in oven, heated to max
- Divide dough into 8 pieces, flatten
- Flour the baking tray and cook 4-5 minutes (I usually turn them over for the last minute)
