• 350g (14oz) gluten-free oats
  • 200g (7oz) butter
  • 100g (4oz) brown sugar
  • 2tbsp (3oz) golden syrup


  1. Preheat oven to 150c/300f/gas mark
  2. Melt butter in saucepan with sugar and golden syrup. Heat gently until sugar dissolved
  3. Stir in oats
  4. Tip mixture into Swiss roll tin (9inchx13inch) lined with parchment and press it out evenly using back of a spoon
  5. Bake in preheated oven for about 30 mins or until golden brown
  6. When baked coat with melted chocolate as a special treat
  7. Cut into squares while still warm and leave to cool in the tin
